Unbroken (Gifting You This Poem!)

My mother
Was a convert
Half my family
Is Christian
And while i’m not
Part of the formal organization
I am for all intents and purposes
A Daughter of the Revolution
So I have no
Compunction or reservation
Yelling about
The imperialism
Inherent in
The Christian religion
Especially when it comes to
Judaism
Upon which
Christianity not only stands
But from which
It has unabashedly pillaged and stolen
And then
With a narcissistic flair
As outrageous
As it is brazen
Turned around
With an onslaught
Of gaslighting deflection
And accusation
Pointing a finger at Jews
For world domination
As meanwhile
The largest global religion
Sits pretty
At the helms
Of 232 majority-Christian nations
Accomplished through millenia
Of relentless
Brutal crusades
Inquisitions
And various sundry
Invasions
But your perception
Is distorted
Through the lens
Of the classic Christian mission
Hellbent on defacing defaming
Delegitimizing and degrading
Judaism
Then using that rhetoric
As justification
For the rhetoric
In recursive fashion
Taking an offensive position
In a highly coordinated concerted effort
To siphon off followers
From the mother religion
As meanwhile
We’re so grounded and confident
In our history identity
Values and theological system
That we outright prohibit proselytization
Unlike you
Going door to door
Like a desperate salesman
Putting flashing neon lights
On the cross that spins
Around and around
Off the side of the highway
Clamoring for attention
Your deep insecurity
Is at the heart
Of this war of attrition
You can’t handle
That no matter
What level
Of violent threat and punishment
You throw at the situation
We remain unshaken
With our Faith
Vastly more powerful
Than anything you can do
And forever
Unbroken
