You’ve rebranded
A travesty and tragedy
Turning it into
A fashion accessory
Posturing
Leveraging this opportunity
To achieve shallow approval
And bandwagon popularity
On the backs
Of those who
Suffered through
The worst possible
Brutality
In doing so
Not only unwittingly showcasing
Your Western racism
Arrogance
And utter ignorance
Of Middle East history
But ironically
Choosing as your symbol
A knockoff keffiyeh
From a Chinese factory
That uses child labor
Toxic chemicals
And slavery
All so that you
Can be
Cool hip and trendy
