The way Christmas is celebrated is extremely political.
And the fact that it is taboo to talk about the political nature of Christmas celebration – the entitled setup of the whole Scrooge concept – is emblematic of how political it all is.
Christmas is celebrated through imposition, not invitation, and through force, not option.
It is approached in the characteristic domineering spirit of Christianity – shoved down everyone’s throat, like it or not – reflective of the way Christianity murdered and plundered its way across the world, destroying families, communities, and indigenous relgious practices.
Christmas is one day, yet it now takes over 25% or more of the entire calendar year.
Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and other religous minorities are not even allowed to take off the day of their actual religious observance, yet anyone celebrating Christmas shall not be disturbed for days or weeks surrounding their 24 hour holiday.
It is considered outrageous and disrespectful to even email someone about a business matter on Christmas (which they can respond to at their leisure), never mind require them to show up to work on that day.
People are expected to bow and defer and accept it all.
Anyone who does not do so is called hostile and beligerent – simply for calling out the hostility and beligerence underlying the approach of Christmas celebration.
A number of Jews proudly posted the visibility of Christmas throughout Israel these days. Look! We are so inclusive!
I used to flee to Israel in November, every year, to escape the Christmas bulldozer. It was so refeshing to wake up on December 25 and have no idea that it was Christmas, becuase it was nowhere to be seen.
Yay. Now the Jewish state has succumbed as well, with nationally-sponsored Christmas displays.
Would anyone expect any Christian state anywhere in the world to have displays reflecting the significant Jewish holidays – Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Purim, Passover? Of course not.
Hanukkah has been blown up into the Christmas psycho twin so that Jews can comfort themselves in the illusion of inclusivity – namely, being wished “happy holidays” after Hanukkah has been over for a week or so.
Hanukkah has nothing to do with Christmas or December. It is in fact the antithesis of the imposed conformity, assimilation, and uniformity that is regularly accepted and expected with regards to how Christmas is “celebrated.”
It is possible to celebrate Christmas without expecting or demanding that anyone else celebrates it.
It is possible to wish someone “Merry Christmas, IF YOU CELEBRATE IT,’ to acknowledge the basic existence of people who are neither Christian nor Christo-secular.
The wholesale acceptance of the obnoxious way Christmas is celebrated, and the mental gymnastics that go into justifying it all and somehow touting it as inclusive, is similar to how girls and women were taught for decades to perceive violent and incessant sexual harassment as a flattering compliment.

Oh and by the way, it’s not “New Years,” some benign global new year celebration. It’s the Christian New Year, no matter how you spin it. AD – the year of our Lord. Whose Lord? Which Lord? Not mine.
Why are “other” new years qualified – Jewish, Chinese, Persian, etc – but not this one? Why does the entire world bow to the Christian calendar, then call it neutral, to sweep under th
