Healing from Oct 7th: Song, Story, and Spoken Word

May 3 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Virtual Event
$26.00

Through song, dance, story, prayer and food, Jews historically have not only overcome tragedy, but have taken that very experience and transmuted it into a vehicle for joy – emerging like the proverbial Phoenix, soaring up and out from the ashes.

In this event, musician, healer, and educator Loolwa Khazzoom will share her personal experience shutting down in the wake of October 7th, then coming back to life, through implementing ancient Jewish tools of resilience – specifically, through creating a tribute album to the victims of October 7th, Til You Can Dance Again.

As part of this event, she will perform a selection of songs from the album. Participants will then discuss the song lyrics and reflect on how to transmute their own feelings of rage, despair, and grief, into a renewed sense of love, joy, and purpose.

This event will be live on Zoom, at 5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET. When you register for the program, you will get an email with the Zoom link.
